Public Information Meeting
For the
Martingale Road and Higgins Road Bike Path Project
The Village of Schaumburg is hosting a Public Information Meeting concerning the Martingale Road and Higgins Road Bike Path Project. The project limits are Schaumburg Road from Whitman Drive to Martingale Road, Martingale Road from Schaumburg Road to Higgins Road (IL Route 72), Corporate Crossing Road from Spring Creek Circle to Martingale Road, and Higgins Road (IL Route 72) from National Parkway to Martingale Road. The proposed improvements include constructing shared-use paths in place of sidewalks on one side of the roadway, and ADA improvements at road and driveway crossings. The project will require temporary construction easements, permanent easements, and/or right-of-way acquisition from some of the properties directly adjacent to the corridor.
The village has received Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) and Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) funds for this project, and this Public Information Meeting is being held in compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and the Illinois Department of Transportationâs (IDOT) public involvement policy. The purposes of this meeting are to present the proposed improvement and to seek public comment regarding the project. The details of the meeting are as follows:

The Public Information Meeting will be conducted in an informal, open house format. Feel free to attend the meeting at any time between 5:30 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. The Village of Schaumburg and consultant representatives will be present to discuss the project and to answer questions.
