PUBLICATION NOTICE TO UNKNOWN HEIRS, CREDITORS, CLAIMANTS OF
INDEPENDENT ADMINISTRATION AND HEARING
Notice is hereby given of the death of Robert Norstrom, who died on January 22, 2026 , and was a resident of Lake County, Illinois. The matter is set for Hearing on Opening Probate, the Petition for Letters of Office, and Issuance of Letters of office on August 06, 2026, at 9:00a.m. or as soon thereafter as counsel may be heard. The petitioner for probate, Bruce Norstrom, who's attorney is Stella Day, 350 N. Milwaukee Ave., Suite 202, Libertyville, IL 60048, shall appear before the Honorable Judge Vorderstrasse, or any judge sitting in her stead, in the courtroom usually occupied by her in the Lake County Circuit Court, Courtroom 303, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, IL, and then and there shall present a Petition for Probate and for Letters for hearing at which time and place you may appear if you so desire.
The heirs of the late Robert Norstrom whose names are known, but addresses are unknown are: Thomas M. Norstrom, Susan K. Norstrom, Dean C. Norstrom, address unknown, Nancy J. Norstrom, address unknown, Eric M. Norstrom, Scott G Norstrom, David B. Norstrom, Kristen L. Schlenz, Wendy Norstrom Hasto, Teddy Norstrom, Sandra A. Norstrom, Jacqueline A. Villano, Randy Norstrom, Tracy Norstrom, Donna Norstrom, and Eileen M. Croft.
The estate will be administrated without Court supervision unless an interested party terminates independent supervision administration by filing a petition to terminate under Article XXVIII 5/28-4 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/28-4).
RIGHTS OF INTERESTED PERSONS DURING
INDEPENDENT
ADMINISTRATION
Under Section 28-4 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/28-4) any interested person may terminate independent administration at any time by mailing or delivering a petition to terminate to the Clerk of the Court. However, if there is a Will which directs independent administration, independent administration will be terminated only if the court finds there is good cause to require supervised administration; and if the petitioner is a creditor or non-residuary legatee, independent administration will be terminated only if the court finds that termination is necessary to protect the petitioner's interest. In addition to the right to terminate independent administration, any interested person may petition the court to hold a hearing and resolve any particular question that may arise during independent administration, even though supervised administration has not been requested (755 ILCS 5/28-5). The independent representative must mail a copy of the estate inventory and account to each interested person and must send notice to or obtain the approval of each interested person before the estate can be closed (755 ILCS 5/28-6, 28-11).
Claims against the estate may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court or with representative or both, on or before a date which is not less than 6 months from the date of the first publication of this notice and any claim not filed within that period is barred. Copies of any claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and to the attorney within 10 days after it is filed.
