Notice is given of the death of Scott G. Vowinkel of Mount Prospect, Illinois. Letters of office were issued on January 9, 2026 to Julie H. Vowinkel, 1711 W. Pheasant Trail, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056, as Independent Executor, whose attorney of record is Gabriel Kokoszka, Lavelle Law, Ltd., 1933 N. Meacham Road, Suite 600, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173.
The estate will be administered without court supervision, unless under Section 5/28-4 of the Probate Act (Ill. Complied Stat. 1992, Ch. 755, par. 5/28-4) any interested person terminates independent administration at any time by mailing a petition to terminate to the Clerk.
Notice is further given of the admission of the Decedent’s will into probate. Within 42 days after the effective date of the original order of admission you may file a petition with the court to require proof of the will by testimony of the witnesses to the will in open court or other evidence, as provided in section 755 ILCS 5/6-21 of the Probate Act of 1975 (Ch. 110 1/2, par. 6-21).
Interested parties have the right under section 5/8-1 of the Probate Act (Ch. 755, par. 5/8-1) to contest the validity of the will by filing a petition with the court within 6 months after admission of the will to probate.
Claims against the Estate may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court at 50 W. Washington St., Chicago, IL 60602, or with the representative, or both, on or before July 15, 2026, which date is not less than 6 months from the date of first publication of this notice, or, if mailing or delivery of a notice from the representative is required by Section 5/18-3 of the Probate Act, the date stated in that notice, and any claim not filed within that period is barred. Copies of any claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and to the attorney within 10 days after it is filed.
