Village of Schaumburg Hosts Public Information Meeting for Weathersfield Way Resurfacing Improvements Project
The Village of Schaumburg is conducting a public information meeting to provide an overview of the proposed improvements to Weathersfield Way from Barrington Road to Springinsguth Road.
This public information meeting is being held to seek public input and comments regarding the proposed improvements. Proposed corridor improvements include pavement patching and resurfacing of Weathersfield Way, adding on-street parking lanes, removing the on-street bicycle route, extending the multi-use path from Pembroke Park to Springinsguth Road, and replacing sidewalk and curb and gutter. New water main and services will be installed from Whittier Drive to Springinsguth Road. Select storm sewer pipes and structures will be removed and replaced. The meeting is Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Campanelli Elementary School, 310 Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg, IL 60193. Parking is available at the Campanelli Elementary School parking lot.
The Village has received Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds for this project. This project and the Public Information Meeting are being conducted in compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and the Illinois Department of Transportation’s public involvement policy. The purpose of the meeting is to seek public input and comments regarding the proposed improvements.
The public meeting will be conducted in an informal, open house format. Exhibits will be available on display and representatives from the Village of Schaumburg and the project consultant team will be present to discuss the project and answer any questions on an individual basis. All interested persons are invited to attend this Public Information Meeting at any time between 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. Written comments will be accepted during the meeting as well as after the meeting. All comments received by June 16, 2026 will become part of the Public Information Meeting record.
