NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A
SPECIAL USE-PLANNED DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION
Public Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 21.1207 and Section 21. 1908 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Burlington that a Public Hearing will be held by the Plan Commission of the Village of Burlington, Kane County, Illinois on the 9th day of February, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Elgin Community College, located at 815 Plank Road, Burlington, IL 60109.
Application for a Special Use-Planned Development filed by SunVest Solar, LLC d/b/a SV CSG Burlington 1, LLC is seeking to establish and operate a 5-megawatt commercial solar facility , on the 66.21-acre property located to the northeasterly side of Burlington Road, one mile southeast of the intersection of Plank Road and Main Street (Burlington Road) and 0.9 mile northwest of the intersection of Burlington Road and Romke Road.
The subject properties are located within the corporate limits of the Village of Burlington and is legally described as follows:
Parcel 1
THAT PART OF THE NORTH HALF OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 6 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, LYING NORTHWESTERLY OF A LINE DRAWN FROM THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID NORTH HALF TO A POINT ON THE WEST LINE OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID SOUTHEAST QUARTER THAT IS 54.53 FEET NORTHERLY OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID QUARTER (EXCEPT THAT PART LYING SOUTHWESTERLY OF THE CENTERLINE OF BURLINGTON ROAD, IN THE VILLAGE OF BURLINGTON, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PARCEL HAS AN AREA = 30.750 acres, more or less
