INVITATION FOR BIDS
Public notice is hereby given by the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake County, Illinois that sealed bids will be received electronically through the Village’s procurement website for the 2026 Bordeaux Open Space Improvements Project. Bids will be received until 9:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2026. Hard copy bids will not be accepted.
The bids will be opened and read aloud at 9:00 AM during a live, online meeting hosted by the Village of Buffalo Grove via the Microsoft Teams video conferencing platform. https://shorturl.at/eUF4n
Bid Documents may be obtained from the Village of Buffalo Grove’s website at www.vbg.org/bids, after 9:00 AM on Friday, July 17, 2026. Hard copies of the Bid Documents will not be provided. All bidders are required to register with the Village of Buffalo Grove atwww.vbg.org/bids. Select the link ‘Register Now’ in the Register to Bid section. Please contact Bidnet at (800) 835-4603 for assistance in the registration process.
This project includes, but is not limited, the following major work items: vegetation clearing; stream bank grading and stabilization; native restoration; tree clearing; and other associated improvements.
State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Pre-Qualification/Registration is required.
Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of FIVE (5) percent of the total bid amount made payable to the Village of Buffalo Grove shall accompany the bid.
This work is subject to the wage provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 ILCS 130/0/01 et seq. and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 ILCS 265/1 et seq relative to prevailing wages of laborers, mechanics, and other workers employed in any Public Works as amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693.
The Village of Buffalo Grove reserves the right to reject any and all bids and bidders and to waive all technicalities. All bid proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days. The Village reserves the right to award to any bidder based on negotiation with any and all bidders after receipt of bids.
