Description: Contracts consist with of the removal of the existing RTUs, installation of new ground mounted RTUs, flooring and grid ceiling removal and replacement, and related electrical and fire protection upgrades.
Required Completion Date: December 2026
Plans, Specifications, and Proposal Forms may be downloaded from the designated Procore webpage. Bidders must email Featherstone, Inc. (“construction manager”), at kevinb@featherstoneinc.com or call the construction manager at (312) 286-9507 to obtain Procore access information. Bidders may also purchase the complete printed bid documents from Cross Rhodes Reprographics 30 Eisenhower Lane North Lombard, IL 60148 after making arrangements with the construction manager.
All contracts and subcontracts performing installation on the Project must comply with the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.), including, without limitation, providing for the payment of the prevailing rate of wage to all laborers, workmen and mechanics engaged in the Work.
A public bid opening will be held at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County located at 3 S. 580 Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189-8761 at 1:00PM on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026.
The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Contractor agrees to be bound to the terms of it’s bid for a period of Sixty (60) calendar days after the Bid Opening Date.
The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to award contracts to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities, informalities, or technicalities in bidding, and to accept any proposals or portions of the bid Work that, in its sole judgement, will be for the best interests of the Forest Preserve District and its residents. Bids received after the due date and time will be rejected.
Any questions regarding the preparation of bids shall be directed to Kevin Burke, the Project Manager for the construction manager by emailing kevinb@featherstoneinc.com or by calling phone number (312)-286-9507. All such questions shall be submitted no later than 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 29th, 2026. The project manager, to the best of his abilities, shall answer such questions in writing and provide a copy of the written questions and answers to all interested bidders via an addendum distributed by email to registered plan holders. The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County shall not be directly contacted.
If contracts are awarded, the successful bidder will be required to post performance and labor and material payment bonds. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, including, as mentioned above, the Prevailing Wage Act as well as the Illinois Human Rights Act. The successful bidder will execute contracts directly with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.
