NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE that on the 2nd day of June, 2026, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Bloomingdale will conduct a public hearing at the Bloomingdale Village Hall, 201 South Bloomingdale Road, Bloomingdale, Illinois, upon the application (âApplicationâ) for a petitioner submitted by William Summers (âApplicantâ), on behalf of owner of the property, Shannon Waltchack, SWNC-Gateway Plaza, LLC, (âOwnerâ), of the property commonly known as 438-454 W. Army Trail Road (Gateway Plaza) and legally described here in, for the purpose of amending an existing Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2016-37), as it relates to use allowances in Gateway Plaza, as well as approvals for signage, and such other amendments and exceptions that may be determined appropriate to allow for Einstein Bros. Bagel, as identified through the course of the public hearing.
The topics to be addressed as part of this hearing in the proposed amendment include but may not be limited to classification and allowances for a third restaurant in Gateway Plaza and exceptions to requirements for parking.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Applicant requests approval of the following:
1. Amend Ordinance No. 2016-37, which approved rezoning of the property, to allow for final site plan approval and exceptions and special uses for drive-thrus, to allow for a third restaurant within the development;
2. A special use permit for an amendment to the existing Planned Development;
3. Exceptions from the Zoning Ordinance including, but not limited to:

b. Reductions in minimum required parking; and
