PUBLIC NOTICE
Public notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 7:00pm, at City Hall in the City Council Chambers, 3600 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, Illinois, the Rolling Meadows Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider a petition by Richard and Megan Evans (“Petitioner”) concerning the following property (“Subject Property”):

Project Description: The Subject Property is an existing one-story single-family residence within the R-2 Single Family Zoning District. The Petitioner desires to construct a one-story addition to the existing residence, encroaching into the west side yard setback (“Improvements”).
Requested Relief: In order to allow the Improvements to be constructed, the public hearing will consider granting the following variation pursuant to Section 122-393 (“Variances”): a reduction in the minimum side yard setback requirement of Section 122-201, from the required 10’-0” to 9’-4”, representing a requested variance of 8 inches. The hearing may result in the grant of a variance that is more or less than requested. The hearing may also result in any other zoning relief as required to fully grant the petition and authorize the Improvements.
Interested persons are invited to attend the Public Hearing, and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
A copy of the agenda and supporting materials will be available for inspection no later than the Friday before the scheduled meeting date at the City’s website, www.cityrm.org, or in person at City Hall, 3600 Kirchoff Road, during City Hall’s operating hours (weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
