PHASE III CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) FOR REINKING ROAD & DAMISCH ROAD ROUNDABOUT RECONSTRUCTION

PROJECT BACKGROUND / DESCRIPTION
The Village of Pingree Grove is seeking Statements of Qualifications from professional engineering service firms interested in providing construction engineering services for the Reinking Road and Damisch Road Roundabout Reconstruction project in Pingree Grove, Illinois.
The project will span approximately 0.25 miles and is focused on the reconstruction of the existing Reinking Road and Damisch Road roundabout located in downtown Pingree Grove. The existing roundabout will be reconstructed to address the geometric deficiencies of the existing mini roundabout. Additionally, the project will add pedestrian accommodations including new sidewalks and multi-use path including an at-grade crossing of the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) railway. The project will also include drainage improvements, landscaping improvements, lighting improvements, signage and striping improvements, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as described herein.
The project will be constructed using a combination of Surface Transportation Urban (STU) funds and State Motor Fuel Tax Funds. Phase III construction engineering services will be funded using both Surface Transportation Urban funds and State Motor Fuel Tax Funds. The project will be placed on a state letting with an anticipated letting date of September 18, 2026. Construction will not be expected to begin until 2027. Construction will be expected to be completed before the end of 2027. The preliminary estimated cost of construction for the reconstruction of the roundabout and all related items is approximately $3,800,000.
The anticipated date for firm selection is Monday, June 1, 2026, and the anticipated award date is Monday, June 15, 2026. Instructions and specifications are available on the Village of Pingree Grove’s website. https://www.villageofpingreegrove.org/bids.aspx.
The Village of Pingree Grove, Illinois reserves the right to reject any or allproposals and waive technicalities.
