NOTICE TO BIDDERS
VILLAGE OF EAST DUNDEE -
HEINZ DRIVE STREET IMPROVEMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Village of East Dundee that sealed proposals will be received for roadway improvements consisting of hot-mix asphalt (HMA) resurfacing, roadway patching of designated distressed areas, removal and reconstruction of combination concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and other appurtenant work.
Plans and proposal forms may be obtained electronically from GERALD L. HEINZ & ASSOCIATES, INC., Consulting Engineers, 206 North River Street, East Dundee, Illinois 60118 by email request to jheinz@glheinzinc.com. A non-refundable plan deposit of $25.00 will be required for each set of bidding documents issued. No refund will be given for purchased bid packages.
Said sealed proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the office of the Village Clerk, 120 Barrington Avenue, East Dundee, Illinois, at which time all Bids will be collected and publicly opened and read aloud at 11:15 a.m. at the office of Gerald L. Heinz & Associates, Inc.
All sealed proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified or Cashier’s Check made payable to the Village of East Dundee for not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory contract bond in the full amount of the bid.
All work under this contract shall comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate Act of the State of Illinois, 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq. and Employment of Illinois Works on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/). Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after closing date without the consent of the Board of Trustees. Bidders shall be prequalified by IDOT for HMA paving.
Any Bid submitted unsealed, unsigned, fax transmissions or received subsequent to the aforementioned date and time, may be disqualified and returned to the bidder.
The Village of East Dundee reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding process or in any Bidder’s Proposal, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Village.
Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty that the bidder has examined the plans and understands all requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The Village of East Dundee will in no case be responsible for any costs, expenses, losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the bidder.
The bidder shall take no advantage of any error or omission in the proposal and advertised contract.
