NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Elmhurst Park District is accepting sealed bids for the following identified project: 2025 Courts Plus Landscape Renovation Project. Sealed proposals shall be received at the Administrative Office, 375 W. First St., Elmhurst, IL 60126 until 10:00 a.m. local time, June 10, 2025, at which time all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bid documents will be available beginning at 12:00 p.m. May 9, 2025, at the Administrative Office, 375 W. First St., Elmhurst, IL 60126, and then from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or can be emailed upon request.
The work generally includes the demolition and removal of existing landscaping and construction of new landscaping including park furnishings, concrete pads, footings, curbs, subsurface drainage, paths, synthetic turf installation and landscape planting and restoration work. Project will commence on August 4, 2025, with an end date of September 26, 2025.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. May 21, 2025, at Courts Plus, 186 S. West Ave., Elmhurst, IL 60126.
A bid security in the amount of 10% of the base bid will be required to accompany bid proposals for this project. The successful contractor must provide the required proof of insurance within ten days of the award of the contract. The Elmhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to waive all technicalities, to accept or reject any or all bids, to accept only portions of a proposal and reject the remainder.
This is a Prevailing Wage schedule project and the contractor, and all sub-contractors are required to pay the prevailing wage for DuPage/Cook Counties for the life of the project and are responsible for keeping up with any changes. Certified payroll is required on this project by both general and sub-contractors.
It is the contractorâs/bidderâs responsibility to field verify locations and conditions and to report any discrepancy to the project manager in writing (Nathan Ewing, Landscape Supervisor, e-mail: newing@epd.org).
