NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of West Chicago will accept sealed bid proposals for the 2026 Fall Parkway Tree Planting Program, until 11:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the office of the Director of Public Works, 1400 W. Hawthorne Lane, West Chicago, Illinois 60185, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
All bid proposals are to be made on the forms provided and will be made as part of the contract documents to be executed with the City. Bid proposals are to be received in a sealed 9”x12” or 10”x13’ envelope. The envelope shall be marked:
“Sealed Bid â€" 2026 Fall Parkway Tree Planting Program”, and the name of the bidder.
Digital bidding documents are available through the Quest Construction Data Network website at www.questcdn.com, or through a link on the City of West Chicago website (www.westchicago.org) starting on July 16, 2026. You may download the digital bid documents for Quest Project #10282198 at a cost of $22.00. Please contact Quest at (952) 233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance in free membership registration, downloading, and working with the digital project information. Paper copies of the bidding documents are not available at the City of West Chicago.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the scheduled closing time for a period of ninety (90) days. Minorities and Women Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids on these services. The City of West Chicago requires all construction Contractors bidding on Public Works projects and all of their sub-contractors to be governed by the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any informality in any bid proposal, to readvertise the proposed services, and to accept the proposal most advantageous to the City. All bidding questions must be submitted in writing by 12:00 PM CST on July 23, 2026. All questions will be answered and posted on the QuestCDN advertisement by 3:00 PM CST on July 24, 2026.
