NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals for the 2026 Newport Cove Pond Dredging Project will be received by the Village of Carpentersville Public Works Department at 1075 Tamarac Drive, Carpentersville, IL 60110, until 10:00 A.M., local time, July 8, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The proposed improvements will consist of dredging of the pond located within the Newport Cove subdivision. All other ancillary work required to complete the project in accordance with the plans, specifications and all other applicable standards.
The complete digital 2026 Newport Cove Pond Dredging Project bidding documents are available at https://www.cville.org/Bids.aspx. Each Bidderâs proposal shall be accompanied by a security deposit in the form of a Bid Bond as outlined within the bid package. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. In addition to complying with the rates of prevailing wages, the Bidder shall also provide proof of enrollment in an Apprenticeship Program should Bidderâs proposal amount exceed $100,000. Proof of enrollment requires registration and certification with the United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Office of Apprenticeship.
All bids shall be clearly marked: BID PROPOSAL: 2026 Newport Cove Pond Dredging Project on the outside of the envelope and addressed to:

The Village of Carpentersville reserves the right to determine the low, responsible bid and waive irregularities or to reject any or all proposals.
Bids may be held by the Village of Carpentersville for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
