2025 Various East Side Streets Resurfacing Project
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Elgin, Illinois (Owner) electronically by the Purchasing
Department, until 3:00 P.M., local time, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, for the 2025 Various East Side Streets Resurfacing Project.
At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be opened and a tab sheet will be immediately sent to all bidders.
The specifications and bidding documents are available for viewing and download for no cost at:
https://cityofelgin.ionwave.net/VendorRegistration/PreliminaryInfo.aspx, the City of Elgin’s electronic bidding web portal. An original bid bond (in the amount of 5% of the original bid amount) must be delivered to the City of Elgin Purchasing Department, 150 Dexter Court no later than 12:00 P.M. on June 26, 2025. All other bid documents shall be uploaded to
https://cityofelgin.ionwave.net/CurrentSourcingEvents.aspx.
The proposed Work is generally described follows:
This project in general (approximately 16,188 linear feet in length) includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and other as included items necessary for the completion of the following approximate quantities: 6,000 SY of Hot-Mix Asphalt Patching, 46,140 SY of Hot-Mix Asphalt Milling, 1,600 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder Course, 5,310 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Course, 4,500 FT of Concrete Curb & Gutter Removal & Replacement, 2,200 SF of Sidewalk Removal & Replacement, 80 Structures To Be Adjusted or Reconstructed, 1,500 LF of Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, 800 SY Driveway Removal & Replacement, 1,200 SY of Landscape Restoration and other miscellaneous items of work in accordance with the Contract Plans and Specifications.
All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified or cashier’s or a bank draft in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid, payable without condition to the City of Elgin, Illinois, which sum shall be forfeited in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a binding contract and provide a properly executed contract surety bond within 15 days after the contract is awarded by the City Council.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to one
hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price as security for the faithful performance and the
payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract.
The successful bidder and all Subcontractors shall be required to conform to the labor standards set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder shall pay prevailing wage and shall provide certified payrolls to the City for the duration of the Project.
The successful bidder shall submit a list of qualified references for projects similar size and scope of the project.
Proposal withdrawn may not be resubmitted at the same letting.
Each bidder shall satisfy the City as to their ability, financially or otherwise, to carry out the work.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive technicalities and any informality in any bid.
This is an Illinois Prevailing Wage Project. It follows the Elgin Responsible Bidders Ordinance and Elgin Residency Requirements.

Notice is hereby given to Contractors that the Schaumburg Park District will be receiving sealed bids for 2025 Outdoor Playing Court Surfacing Projects.
Those General Contractors that are interested in bidding on this project must have had previous experience in the performing of similar work. Only bids from General Contractors meeting the Minimum Qualification Standards as specified in the bid documents will be deemed qualified. Bids received from Contractors that do not meet said Minimum Qualification Standards will be rejected.
General Contractors wishing to bid on this project must complete the bid Proposal Form and provide information which demonstrates that it meets all of the Minimum Qualification and complete Bidder Qualification Form contained within the bid package evidencing that the General Contractor meets the Minimum Qualification Standards.
Plans and specifications may be obtained by sending an email to Felicia Medina (femedina@parkfun.com) at the Administration Office of the Schaumburg Park District, located at 235 E. Beech Drive, Schaumburg, Illinois, 60193. Plan holders are also required to include all business information within the email request with current contact information should the Owner need to issue any memorandum throughout the bidding process.
