NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT
In accordance with the requirements of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act, notice is given of receipt to establish an Ambulatory Surgery Treatment Center (ASTC) in Hoffman Estates. Project #26-036, Barrington Road Surgery Center, LLC, Hoffman Estates. Applicant: Barrington Road Surgery Center, LLC. The applicant proposes establishing a single-specialty ASTC providing Ophthalmology services, located at 1585 North Barrington Road, Building 2, Suite 502, Hoffman Estates. Project cost: $8,930,996.
The application contained a Safety Net Impact Statement and was declared complete on July 20, 2026. A copy of the application may be viewed at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board Office, at the address below. Consideration by the State Board has been tentatively scheduled for the December 15, 2026, State Board Meeting. Requests for hearings must be received by this Agency no later than August 4, 2026. Any person wanting to submit written comments on this project must submit these comments by November 25, 2026. The State Board will post its findings in a State Board Staff Report, and the report will be made available via the internet on December 1, 2026. The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
