NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons concerned that on the 5th day of August, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Batavia will meet and a Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers in the City of Batavia Government Center, 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia, Illinois 60510. The Public Hearing will be held pursuant to Chapters 5.2, 5.4 and 5.7 of the Batavia Zoning Code (City Code Title 10) to consider an application for 1. A Text Amendment to the Zoning Code to allow Pet Cafe as a Conditional Use in the DMU Downtown Mixed Use District and establish definitions and certain additional regulations for such a use. 2. Conditional Use to operate Pet Cafe at 139 First Street, Batavia IL 60510 (PIN: 12-22-254-023).
The property owner is Batavia Enterprises Inc. 140 First St, Batavia IL 60510, the applicant is Alyssa Biala 35 Oak Creek Court, North Aurora, IL 60542.
The meeting’s agenda and packet will be posted a minimum of 72 hours before the meeting at: www.bataviail.gov/agendacenter Public comments may also be emailed to drackow@bataviail.gov prior to 5:00 PM the date of meeting for entry into the hearing public record.
