NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Village of Glen Ellyn (“Village”) Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing on November 4, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Galligan Board Room, Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137 on the application of Lance Rock (“Petitioner”) for approval of a variation from the Glen Ellyn Zoning Code set forth below to accommodate a construction necessitated variation for an existing deck. The subject property is in the R2 Residential District and located at 167 Forest Avenue, Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137.
The property owner is requesting approval of a variation from the Glen Ellyn Zoning Code as follows:
1. Section 10-5-5(B)4(8) to allow for a deck to encroach into the side-yard setback so that the deck is setback 6-feet from the south property line in lieu of the required 6-feet, 6-inches.
The property is zoned R2, Residential District, and is legally described as follows:

Information related to the request is also available for public review in the Community Development Department at the Civic Center, 535 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, Illinois. All public comments received by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, will be read into the record at the public hearing.
