NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Village of Glen Ellyn (“Village”) Plan Commission will conduct a public hearing on February 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Galligan Board Room, Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137 on the application of La Gambina Homes Inc. (“Petitioner”) owner of the property located at 22W584 Ahlstrand Road, Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137 (“Subject Property”), for approval of a Final Plat of a Minor Subdivision with variations from the Village’s Subdivision Code. The requested Final Plat of a Minor Subdivision is to subdivide the existing property into two parcels with the intention of being annexed to the Village and developed with two new single-family homes at a future date. The Subject Property is comprised of approximately 0.916 acres and is located at the northeast corner of Ahlstrand Road and Oaklawn Drive, Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137.
The Petitioner seeks the following variations from the Village’s Subdivision Code:
1. A variation from Section 11-4-4(M) to not provide streetlights along adjacent portions of Ahlstrand Road and Oaklawn Drive.
2. A variation from Section 11-4-7 to not provide sidewalks along adjacent portions of Ahlstrand Road and Oaklawn Drive.
The Subject Property is legally described as follows:
LOT 89 IN FIRST ADDITION TO AHLSTRAND’S ARBORETUM ESTATES, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF SECTIONS 26 AND 27, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED APRIL 6, 1955, AS DOCUMENT 752019, IN DUPAGE COUNTY ILLINOIS.

Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners of the Glenview Park District, Glenview, Illinois for CONCRETE & ASPHALT PROJECTS 2026 in accordance with instructions to bidders and specifications.
Proposals will be received until THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2026, 10:00 AM at the office of the Glenview Park District, 655 Zenith Drive, Glenview, Illinois, 60025, at which time and place all bids will be publicly read. Bids received after closing time will be returned unopened. The public opening is for information only, and is not to be construed as acceptance or rejection of any bid. Award to the successful bidder will be made within sixty (60) days.
Contractor is responsible for all measurements and must personally inspect the site to verify the scope of the work to be bid. The Park District has determined that the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act applies to this work and therefore Contractor shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and shall pay, and require every Subcontractor to pay, the prevailing rates of wages as established by the Illinois Department of Labor for each craft or type of work needed to execute the contract in accordance with 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq.
The successful bidder shall also comply with all laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, rulings, or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the work or the project.
Bidders are required to use the proposal form supplied with the specifications. All proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked on the outside, "SEALED BID: CONCRETE & ASPHALT PROJECTS 2026"
