NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
The DuPage County Stormwater Management Planning Committee voted Tuesday to open the public comment period for the draft Upper West Branch DuPage River Water Quality Watershed-Based Plan. Comments will be accepted through June 4.
DuPage County Stormwater Management has developed a water quality plan for the Upper West Branch DuPage River Watershed, which includes all or part of Hanover Park, Bartlett, Schaumburg, Warrenville, West Chicago, Carol Stream, Roselle, Winfield, Streamwood, Bloomingdale, Naperville, Wayne, Hoffman Estates, and portions of unincorporated DuPage and Cook County to identify causes and sources of water quality impairments and identify solutions in the form of projects and programs. Once both DuPage County and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) approve the plan, the County, municipalities and other private and public stakeholders may apply for IEPA grant funding to carry out initiatives identified in the plan.
A draft of the Upper West Branch Plan is available on the Countyâs website at https://www.dupagecounty.gov/government/departments/stormwater_management/water_quality/upper_west_branch_plan_comment_portal.php. DuPage County Stormwater Management will accept comments and input through June 4. Comments may be submitted through a comment portal on the above website or by mail to:
