NOTICE OF HEARING BEFORE THE
VILLAGE OF MUNDELEIN
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 7, 2025, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., there will be a public hearing before the Village of Mundelein Planning and Zoning Commission at the Mundelein Village Hall, located at 300 Plaza Circle, Mundelein, Illinois, concerning a petition by Michael Howley, on behalf of DRA Properties, LLC and Verizon Wireless, requesting a special use from Table 20.44-1 of Section 20.44.020 to permit a wireless telecommunications facility and tower. The petition also includes requests for variations from the following sections: 1) Section 20.48.040(QQ)(3)(a) to permit a wireless telecommunications tower with a reduced fall zone setback; 2) Section 20.48.040(QQ)(3)(b) to permit a wireless telecommunication tower with a reduced fall zone setback without the required written and notarized authorization from all adjoining property owners; and 3) Section 20.48.040(QQ)(4) to permit a wireless telecommunications tower to exceed the maximum height in the Institutional Zoning District at 101 Principal Ave (PIN #11-19-102-017), in accordance with the applications on file with the Village of Mundelein.

This Notice is an invitation to all interested persons to submit oral or written testimony or other evidence concerning the above case to the Village of Mundelein Planning and Zoning Commission to planning@mundelein.org. Comments received by 5:00p.m. CT on April 30, 2025, will be included in the meeting agenda packet. Comments received after this date will be provided to the Commissioners on the day of the public hearing. Persons with questions are encouraged to call the Village of Mundelein at (847) 949 3282.
The Planning and Zoning Commissionâs actions are not final for this case. The Planning and Zoning Commission will forward its findings and recommendations to the Village Board of Trustees for final consideration and action.
