Notice of Public Hearing
Oak Street is a FAU route in Fox Lake, IL which is in need of pavement rehabilitation. The proposed project limit termini are from US 12 ROW on the west end, to Forest Avenue ROW on the east end. From visual inspection, observed driveability, and CMAP’s rating, the roadway is in poor condition and needing structural improvement. Through the STP program, the Village is proposing a full depth reclaimation of the pavement section with cement additive and new HMA binder and surface course.
There is currently no curb and gutter and little to no seperation of roadway and sidewalk for the public. These items are proposed to be addressed by adding curb and gutter to both sides of the roadway, as well as incorporate a vegetated section between the curb and sidewalk on both sides.
The Village of Fox Lake is making available for public comments a Project Summary and Preliminary Engineering Exhibits for the Oak Street Roadway STP Project. These documents are available for public review at Village Hall, 66 Thillen Dr, Fox Lake, Illinois at any time during regular business hours. A copy of the document may also be viewed online at the Village of Fox Lake website, www.foxlake.org.
A public hearing will be held for the purpose of receiving comments on a Project Summary and Preliminary Engineering Exhibits for the project on April 22, 2025, from 5:30 PM â€" 6:30 PM before the Board of Trustees meeting. The public hearing will be held at Village Hall, Fox Lake, Illinois in the board room. Written comments on these Project Summaries and Preliminary Engineering Exhibits may be submitted at any time up to and including April 22, 2025. Written comments may be submitted by mail to either of the following:
