Sealed proposals will be received by the County Engineer at the Office of the County Engineer, 16111 Nelson Road, Woodstock, IL, 60098 until 9:00 A.M., March 4th, 2026, for the following improvements:

Construction of bituminous pavement consisting of the following: HMA Surface Course, IL 9.5, N50; Leveling Binder (Machine Method), N50; HMA Binder Course, IL 19.0, N50; HMA Surface Removal â€" Butt Joint; Bituminous Material (Prime Coat); Bituminous Materials (Tack Coat); Short Term Pavement Markings (Special); Class D Patching Type IV; Paint and Thermoplastic Pavement Markings together with other miscellaneous work.

All proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by MCDOT which may be obtained on-line at (https://www.mchenrycountyil.gov/departments/transportation/doing-business), or at the Office of the County Engineer. The County reserves the right to reject any, or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
Prequalification of bidders in accordance with LRS 6 is required. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by McHenry County or the Department of Labor, or as determined by the Court on Review, shall be paid to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work as indicated in the Special Provisions of the Specifications.
All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the bid, or as provided in the Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals, LRS 6.
