NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Downers Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026 in the Betty Cheever Council Chambers, 850 Curtiss Street, Downers Grove, IL. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider File 25-PZC-0022, a petition seeking approval of a Planned Unit Development, a Map Amendment from Downtown Core (DC) to Downtown Core/Planned Development (DC/PD) and a Special use to construct a mixed-use 6-unit apartment building. The property is zoned Downtown Core (DC). The property is located on the on the west side of Forest Avenue between Gilbert Avenue and Curtiss Street, commonly known as 5112-5120 Forest Avenue (PINs: 09-08-301-008, -009, -030, and -031)
The request also involves the consideration of a Lot Reconfiguration with a Variance and a map amendment of the eastern portion of the lot from Downtown Transition (DT) to Downtown Core/Planned Development (DC/PD). The property is zoned Downtown Transition (DT). The property is located on the north side of Curtiss Avenue, east of Forest Avenue, commonly known as 1108-1118 Curtiss Street (PIN: 09-08-301-014 and -015)
All interested parties should attend this hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard. The hearing may be continued from time to time with no further public notice.

Each bid must be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Sealed Bid: SEVEN GABLES FITNESS AREA SURFACING” and addressed to the Wheaton Park District, 102 E. Bids will be received until 9:30 A.M. on January 29, 2026, at which time the bid proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1000 Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
The Wheaton Park District Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to waive all technicalities, to accept or reject any or all bids, to accept only portions of a proposal and reject the remainder without disclosure for any reason. Failure to make such a disclosure will not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action by any Bidder against the Wheaton Park District.
Bids shall not include federal excise tax or state sales tax for materials and equipment to be incorporated in, or fully consumed in the performance of, the Work. An Exemption Certificate will be furnished by the Wheaton Park District on request of the Bidder, for use in connection with this Project only.
The Work of this Project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in DuPage County. The Contract entered into for the Work will be drawn in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide for payment of all laborers, workmen, and mechanics needed to perform the Work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages (or the prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work) for each craft, type of worker, or mechanic.
All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank cashier’s check payable to the Wheaton Park District for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check.
The Contractor selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunity.
