LEGAL NOTICE
The Forest Preserve District of Kane County (the District) is seeking qualified firms to conduct controlled burns across 7 projects within 7 Forest Preserves. Burns will be conducted to aid in the maintenance of natural processes, restore soil fertility, increase seed germination and control invasive woody species. This work will consist of obtaining all necessary permits, creating required burn breaks, fuel ignition and suppression. Each project will be awarded individually.
**NOTE: ALL CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS ARE SUBJECT TO THE ILLINOIS PREVAILING WAGE ACT (820 ILCS 130/1, ET SEQ.)**
Sealed Bids will be accepted electronically via Bonfire/Euna (kaneforest.bonfirehub.com) until 2:00 p.m. August 11, 2026. Public bid opening will be held at the District office on August 11, 2026 at 2:30 pm. All bids will be unsealed electronically. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Invitation to Bid is available at kaneforest.com/bids-proposals. All Bidders must create an online account with Bonfire to submit.
