LEGAL NOTICE
The Forest Preserve District of Kane County (the District) is seeking qualified firms to control invasive woody trees and shrubs across 9 projects within 8 Forest Preserves. The goal of this project is a one-season kill of 95% of all invasive woody re-sprouts and seedlings growing in the project areas through foliar herbicide applications and/or hand cutting and stump herbicide applications during April, May and June of 2027. Each project will be awarded individually.
**NOTE: ALL CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS ARE SUBJECT TO THE ILLINOIS PREVAILING WAGE ACT (820 ILCS 130/1, ET SEQ.)**
Sealed Bids will be accepted electronically via Bonfire/Euna (kaneforest.bonfirehub.com) until
1:00 p.m. September 3, 2026. Public bid opening will be held at the District office on September 3, 2026 at 1:30 pm. All bids will be unsealed electronically. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Invitation to Bid is available at kaneforest.com/bids-proposals. All Bidders must create an online account with Bonfire to submit.
