PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION
TO REQUEST QUICK TAKE AUTHORITY
This publication is made in accordance with House Rule 41 and Senate Rule 5-6. The Village of Hoffman Estates (the âVillageâ) intends to request quick take authority from the Illinois legislature under The Illinois Eminent Domain Act (735 ILCS 30/ et seq.).
The Village will conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed quick take authority on February 16, 2026 at 6:45 p.m. at Village Hall 1900 Hassell Rd., Hoffman Estates, IL 60169.
The Village plans to submit its request for quick take authority to acquire the below described parcels by March 1, 2026. Any person desiring to object to the request for quick take authority must submit such objection to the Village in writing no later than February 16, 2026.
The Village intends to use this quick take authority to expedite its acquisition of the properties described below, commonly known as 5851 Beacon Pointe Drive, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192 (the âPropertyâ).
Acquisition of the Property is for the purpose of constructing improvements on portions of Shoe Factory Road from Essex Drive to Beverly Road, along with portions of Beverly Road and Rohrssen Road connecting to Shoe Factory Road.
