CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS
Bid 25-035 Riverside Water Treatment Plant and Well 5A MCC Improvements
The City of Elgin will receive electronic bids for the construction of the Riverside Water Treatment Plant and Well 5A MCC Improvements Project until 3:00 p.m. local time on Monday, June 9, 2025 at the City of Elgin’s web portal at https://cityofelgin.ionwave.net/VendorRegistration/PreliminaryInfo.aspx. The project bids are invited upon constructing the following:
The Work of this Contract is generally described as construction of electrical distribution system improvements, including, but not limited to sitework, yard piping, structural, architectural, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and instrumentation and control work.
Complete digital project bidding documents are available at https://cityofelgin.ionwave.net/VendorRegistration/PreliminaryInfo.aspx. Paper sets of the project documents will not be made available.

WAGE RATES: This is an Illinois Prevailing Wage Project. It follows the Elgin Responsible Bidders Ordinance and Elgin Residency Requirements.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held prior to the Bid opening on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Riverside Water Treatment Plant located at 375 West River Road, Elgin, Illinois, to familiarize Bidders with this Project.
BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price.
BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serves the interests of the Owner.
BID WITHDRAWAL: No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of Owner.
