Notice is hereby given that Endeavor Health Elmhurst Hospital intends to file a Certificate of Need application with the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB). The application concerns the Elmhurst Outpatient Surgery Center (EOSC) located at 1200 S. York Rd. Suite 1400, Elmhurst, Illinois, also known as the Elmhurst Center for Health, attached to Elmhurst Hospital.
The application seeks to relinquish the EOSC’s existing Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center license. Following relinquishment, the surgical facility will operate as a department of Elmhurst Hospital under Elmhurst Hospital’s IDPH license.
There will be no change in the scope of surgical services, and this change will improve patient access by reducing procedural wait times and expanding access to Medicaid patients.
Endeavor Health plans to submit a Certificate of Need to the HFSRB. A copy of the application will be posted on the HFSRB website at https://www.illinois.gov/sites/hfsrb/Projects/Pages/CompApps.aspx
