The requisite Affidavit for Service by Publication having been filed, notice is hereby given to you, KENNETH J. MARX; MORTGAGE ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION SYSTEMS, INC., NOMINEE FOR QUICKEN LOANS, LLC; OAK TERRACE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION; STATE OF ILLINOIS, DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE; LAKE COUNTY TREASURER; and UNKNOWN OWNERS AND NON-RECORD CLAIMANTS, generally, in this cause, that the Illinois Department of Transportation has filed its Complaint For Condemnation in the Circuit Court of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in Lake County, Illinois, for condemnation pursuant to the eminent domain laws of the State of Illinois, of the lands and premises in the Complaint situated in Lake County, State of Illinois, attached as Exhibit A.

That part of Lot 42 in Oak Terrace Subdivision, being a subdivision of part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 44 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded October 29, 1923 as document number 231654 and re-recorded August 14, 1925 as document number 263209, in Lake County, Illinois, bearings and distances are based on the Illinois Coordinate System, NAO 83(2011) East Zone, with a combination factor of 0.9999502657, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said Lot 42; thence on an Illinois Coordinate System NAO 83(2011) East Zone bearing of North 50 degrees 48 minutes 11 seconds West along the southwesterly line of said Lot 42, a distance of 49.99 feet (50 feet, recorded) to the southwest corner of Lot 42; thence North 39 degrees 11 minutes 06 seconds East along the northwesterly line of said Lot 42, a distance of 25.88 feet; thence South 51 degrees 35 minutes 01 second East, a distance of 49.99 feet to the southeasterly line of said Lot 42; thence South 39 degrees 11 minutes 06 seconds West along the southeasterly line of said Lot 42, a distance of 26.56 feet to the point of beginning.
Said parcel containing 0.030 acre, more or less, of which 0.016 acre, more or less, was previously dedicated or used for highway purposes.
Summons was duly issued out of said court against you as provided by law and such cause is now pending. The aforesaid Complaint for Condemnation is for (a) the full fee simple title to real property designated as Parcel 1NZ0214, sought to be acquired for the purpose of the improvement of Illinois Route 60 and Illinois Route 83 from Midlothian Road to West of Diamond Lake Road in Lake County, Illinois.
  NOW THEREFORE, unless you, the above named defendants, file your appearance in this cause, in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, 18 N County St, Waukegan, IL 60085, on or before the 18th day of August, 2025, default may be entered against you at any time after that day, or the case may be tried at any time after said date, and a judgment entered in accordance with the prayer of said Complaint.

Sealed proposals for Lambs Farm Farmyard Renovation & Barn in Libertyville, IL, shall be received at the The Lambs Farm, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Lambs Farm”) Magnolia Cafe Banquet Room 14245 W Rockland Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048 until 10:00 a.m. local time, July 11, 2025, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Work generally includes barn construction, asphalt paving, concrete and unit paving, fencing, storm, water, sanitary, and electrical utilities, landscape installation and restoration.
Bid documents will be available from Accurate Repro, Inc.’s Planroom beginning June 18, 2025 at 11:00am. Plans are available for printing or download. Phone: (630) 428-4433. www.accurateplanroom.com. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on June 25 at 10:00am.
Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance for the benefit of the Owner and the State of Illinois following the award of a contract.
All contracts for work herein are subject to providing for the payment of Lake County’s prevailing wage rate to all workers involved in these projects. All bids will remain firm for 60 days after the bid opening. Lambs Farm reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities on a bid, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of Lambs Farm.
The Contractor selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunity.
Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Successful contract bidders are also encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
This Project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and shall comply with the following: Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/0.01 et seq.), Public Act 96-1064 - Business Enterprise Program, and Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/Art. 20).
