Bid Notice
The City of Batavia, IL will accept sealed bids for the River Street Restroom and Plaza. This project consists of construction of a public plaza with pre-fabricated restroom building provided by others, plaza brick paving, landscaping, site amenities, and associated utilities installation and connections.
The complete bid package may be obtained by email upon request to cbong@bataviail.gov after 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2026.
Bids will be received by the Engineering Division at 200 N. Raddant Road, Batavia until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026. All bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.
Bidders are advised of the following requirements of this contract: 1) Illinois Prevailing Wage Requirements; 2) 5% Bid Security with submittal of bid; 3) 110% Performance Security within fifteen (15) calendar days after Contract award; 4) applicable OSHA and EPA requirements; 5) Bidders to whom an award may be considered shall provide references and examples of their completion of similar projects within the past 5 years.
The City Council of the City of Batavia reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any technicalities, discrepancies, or information in the bids. The City of Batavia does not discriminate in admission, access to, treatment, or employment in its programs and activities.
The Owner reserves the right to require the low bidder to file proof, within seven (7) days of the bid opening, of their ability to finance and execute the project. This proof shall include, but not be limited to, a financial statement, list of equipment owned by bidder, and backlog of jobs under contract. The Owner will award a Contract only to a Bidder who furnishes satisfactory evidence that they have the ability, sufficient capital, facilities, and plant to enable them to prosecute the work successfully and promptly, and to complete the work within the time specified in the Contract Documents.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, offers, or proposals submitted, or to advertise for new bids. The Owner reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any bid and the award of a Contract for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days after the date of opening the bids.
