NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Board Meeting of the Ela Township Board, Lake County, Illinois will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ela Township offices at 1155 East IL-22, Lake Zurich, IL 60047 in accordance with Section 80-10(b) of the Illinois Township Code, 60 ILCS 1/80-10(b). Said meeting has been called by Township Supervisor Laurie Wilhoit. The meeting will be held for the purpose of considering the following agenda:
1. Call to Order
2. Board Roll Call
3. Pledge of Allegiance
4. Public Comment
This is an opportunity for residents to comment briefly on matters included on the agenda and otherwise of interest to the Board of Trustees. Public comment is limited to up to 3 minutes per speaker.
5. Consent Agenda
These titles will be read by the Township Clerk and approved by a single roll-call vote. Any item may be pulled from the Consent Agenda for discussion by any Township Trustee.
 a. Approval of Board Meeting Minutes of October 9, 2025
 b. Committee Meeting Minutes â€" Accept meeting minutes from Community Center (10/7), COW (10/29), Health & Wellness (10/8), Special Board (10/16)
 c. Approval of Board Audit from 10/1/2025 to 10/31/2025
 d. Townhall Cameras: Approve the purchase of new and upgraded security cameras for Townhall from Visocnik Contracting in the amount of $4,650
 e. Ooma Phones: Approve the purchase of Ooma phone system for a year-one cost of $6,943.35
 f. Handbook Updates: Approve changes to the Ela Township Employee Handbook
 g. Public Use Policy: Approve the creation of a new Ela Township Policy for Public Use of Township Meeting Rooms
 h. Meeting Space Agreement: Approve the creation of a new Ela Township Building Use Agreement
 i. John Deere Mower: Approve the purchase of a John Deere mower with a Diamond Mower wing attachment in the amount of $159,449.14
 j. Truck #4 Service Body: Approve the purchase of the Truck #4 body from Sauber MFG in the amount of $53,977.00
 k. Welder for Highway Department: Approve the purchase of a new welder from Miller in the amount of $6,895.00

The Board of Education of Community Consolidated School District 62, Cook County, Illinois is accepting bid proposals for the North and Central Elementary Schools Additions and Renovations located in Des Plaines, IL.
Bid Period 2 consists of all site, structural, interior buildout, and MEPFP trades.
All bids must be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Base Bid made payable to Community Consolidated School District 62. Contractors shall guarantee their submitted Bid Proposal for a ninety (90) day period from the date of Bid Opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100%. Contractor’s Qualifications Statement must be submitted at time of bid or already be on file with Pepper Construction. Compliance with Prevailing Wages for Cook County and all equal employment practices is required.
A pre-bid meeting and site walk is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 6:30 AM CST starting at North Elementary School (1789 Rand Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016) and immediately followed by Central Elementary School (1526 Thacker St, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
Sealed bids are due no later than 10:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at CCSD 62 Administration Center, 777 E. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016 and shall be marked “SEALED BID, Attention Mark Bertolozzi”.
BIDS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED AT THE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION CENTER.
There will be a public bid opening at the Administration Center immediately following the Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10:00 am CST due time.
