INVITATION FOR BIDS
BID NUMBER: PW-2627-02
2026 VILLAGEWIDE CONCRETE REPLACEMENT
The Village of Elk Grove Village will receive sealed bids for the removal and replacement of portland cement concrete items including curb and gutter of various types, sidewalk, driveway pavement of various thicknesses, pavement patching, landscape restoration, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project all in accordance with the Specifications and Contract Document PW-2627-02. Prospective bidders are advised to carefully review the General Conditions, Special Conditions, Special Provisions, and Details of this document.
Prior to receiving bid documents,
all bidders must have an approved prequalification form on file with the Village and show proof of approval for IDOT Category 17 “Concrete Construction” exceeding $675,000. Bid plans and prequalification forms are available on the Village’s website www.elkgrove.org/bids.
Obtaining Bid Documents:
To obtain bid documents, please e-mail a copy of your current IDOT prequalification, along with a prequalification form if not already on file with the Village, to pwprequal@elkgrove.org. Once received by the Village, an electronic bid proposal packet will be sent via e-mail to the approved bidder(s). To check on your prequalified status call the Elk Grove Village Public Works Department at (847) 734-8800.
Bids will be received until 10:45 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 and opened at 11:00 AM, local time. The bid opening will be held at the James Paul Petri Public Works Facility, 450 E. Devon Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, 60007 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.

Each bid must be placed in a sealed, opaque envelope clearly marked "Sealed Bid: Prairie Path Park Playground Unitary Surfacing” and addressed to the Wheaton Park District, 1000 Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL 60187, Attention: Secretary of the Board. Bids will be received until 9 A.M. on January 29, 2026, at which time the bid proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Park Services Center, 1000 Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
The Wheaton Park District Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to waive all technicalities, to accept or reject any or all bids, to accept only portions of a proposal and reject the remainder without disclosure for any reason. Bids shall not include federal excise tax or state sales tax for materials and equipment to be incorporated in, or fully consumed in the performance of, the Work. The Work of this Project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. The Contract entered into for the Work will be drawn in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide for payment of all laborers, workmen, and mechanics needed to perform the Work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages (or the prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work) for each craft, type of worker, or mechanic.
All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank cashier’s check payable to the Wheaton Park District for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check.
The Contractor selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunity.
