Separate sealed BIDS for the North and Well 5 Elevated Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation which consists of furnishing all labor, machinery, tools, rigging, brushes, material, equipment, bonds and insurance necessary to construct containment, modify, clean, contain, abrasive blast, and paint the interior and exterior of a 250,000 gallon and a 750,000 gallon elevated tank, respectively. The work also includes disinfection and sampling as required to place the elevated tanks back in service. Bids will be received by Village of Elburn, 301 E. North Street, Elburn, IL 60119 until 10:00 a.m., local time, December 5, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. A mandatory pre-bid meeting for all contractors wishing to submit bids shall be held at Elburn Village Hall located at 301 E. North St., Elburn, IL 60119 on November 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Failure to attend the entire mandatory pre-bid meeting is cause for rejection of the bid.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of The Village of Elburn negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
The Village of Elburn reserves the right to reject all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
Bids may be held by The Village of Elburn for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
