General Notice
The Village of Fox River Grove (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
2026 Demolition Sites

Sealed bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Village Hall located at 305 Illinois Street, Fox River Grove, IL, until Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. local time. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any contractor wishing to submit a bid can attend the Optional Pre-Bid meeting located at the project site at 10:00 A.M. on July 30, 2026.
The Project includes the following Work:
The proposed work consists of demolition, removal, and disposal of 212 Northwest Highway and 207 Opatrny Drive, including foundations, piping, and appurtenances, filling to match existing grade, site restoration, and other miscellaneous items of work.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
All pertinent documents may be examined at the Village Hall at 305 Illinois Street, Fox River Grove, IL or at the following offices of Baxter & Woodman, Inc., Consulting Engineers: 8678 Ridgefield Road, Crystal Lake, Illinois 60012 and 8840 West 192nd Street, Mokena, Illinois 60448.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained via email from Stephen Bechler at s.bechler@foxrivergrove.org the Village of Fox River Grove, Village Hall, 305 Illinois Street, Fox River Grove, IL. Please contact Stephen Bechler s.bechler@foxrivergrove.org with any questions. Documents can only be obtained from the Village.
Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at the project location 212 Northwest Highway Fox River Grove, IL 60021. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is optional.
Instructions to Bidders.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Fox River Grove for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Rejection of Bids
Owner reserves the right to accept the Bid that is, in its judgment, the best and most favorable to the interests of Owner and the public; to reject the low Price Bid; to reject any and all Bidder's Proposals; to accept and incorporate corrections, clarifications or modifications following the opening of the Bid when to do so would not, in Owner's opinion, prejudice the bidding process or create any improper advantage to any Bidder; and to waive irregularities and informalities in the bidding process or in any Bid submitted; provided, however, that the waiver of any prior defect or informality shall not be considered a waiver of any future or similar defects or informalities, and Bidders should not rely upon, or anticipate, such waivers in submitting their Bid.
