VILLAGE OF SKOKIE Seasonal Positions The Village of Skokie is seeking candidates to fill seasonal maintenance worker positions in the Public Works Department. Essential job functions include pavement maintenance & repair; landscaping maintenance & litter control; tree removal and maintenance; and assisting with solid waste collection using hydraulically controlled tippers. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a H.S. diploma or G.E.D and possess a valid Driver's License. Successful candidates must be in good physical condition & able to work in all outdoor weather conditions. All applicants are required to undergo a drug screening prior to employment. Hiring range is $15.55 - $17.14 per hour depending on qualifications. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Flexibility to work 2 - 5 days per week but not to exceed 1000 hours for the year.
