• Import Customer Service Representative

This position is responsible for activities related to Import shipments (Air and Ocean).
Candidates must able to work in fast-paced environment, while maintaining clear communication with Customers, Logistics service providers, and Management to assure operations meet goals and objectives.

Responsible for Coordinating import activities including reviewing documents received from overseas, tracing incoming shipments with steamship lines, creating arrival notices and making arrangements for customs clearance with broker and handling delivery instructions.
Generate, file, maintain up-to-date customer records, reports, documentation, database, etc.
Coordinate Shipments with importers, truckers, and carriers.
Arrange both delivery and the invoicing of the import account for services rendered
Prepare billing package, bill file, email/mail to clients

2 years or more experience in Import Operations with an NVOCC/Freight Forwarder (No experience welcome)
Basic knowledge of INCO terms, Customs regs and other Gov. agency requirements
Solid knowledge of domestic and int'l geography including countries, major cities and ocean ports along with basic knowledge of U.S. Regulatory Laws
PC Proficient: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
